Top 4 Northern Quarter Cafes to check out- Aneesa Piracha

Tucked away behind Piccadilly, hidden just outside the hustle and bustle of Market street is the land of cool; the Northern Quarter. The home of hipsters, graffiti art and infamous cafes, the Northern Quarter is my favourite area in Manchester. The main attraction is definitely the rows of bars, cafes and restaurants. Tried, tested and approved, here are my personal favourites of the Northern Quarter food scene!

1. Home sweet home

This is probably the most famous kitchen in the Northern Quarter, serving ultra fresh, all American food. The only down side is they don't take reservations so you need to get there early or you'll be queuing for hours!

2. Teacup kitchen

Teacup is humble and traditional with a modern twist, serving some more quirky options too. My favourite is their rainbow cake!

3. Ziferblat

Ziferblat isn't just a food place but, a study space, chill and whatever else you make of it really. The cost is 6p per minute and everything inside is free, designed to be a mini-home if you like. This place is super quirky and different to anything I had heard of before moving to Manchester, definitely worth a visit!

4. Sugar Junction

With authentic floral and lace decor and china tea pots, Sugar junction brings a cute vintage feel, complimenting the hearty, wholesome food.

Of course there are many other restaurants in the Northern Quarter and, if you have found any worth suggesting, give me a shout! Thanks for reading and I hope you all enjoy the cafes!

Ciao for now,

Aneesa
